"This pasta is incredible, honey!" Mark declared, scooping up another forkful. The restaurant buzzed with happy chatter, but their corner table felt like a bubble of intimacy. Sarah, across from him, beamed, her eyes sparkling in the candlelight. They had been laughing and talking all evening. When her phone began to ring, she visibly tensed. "Excuse me," she said, her voice a little too loud, and left the table. Mark watched her go, a slight crease forming between his brows. He sat for a moment and then continued eating.
