The late afternoon sun warmed Amelia's face as she leaned back in the Adirondack chair, a half-finished crossword puzzle resting on her lap. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the ancient oak tree in her backyard, creating a calming melody. She sipped her iced tea, the cold liquid soothing her throat. This was precisely what she needed after a hectic week at the office. Her gaze drifted across the lawn, settling on her friend Sarah, who was meticulously planting lavender bushes.

"Remember that crazy summer, Sarah? The one we spent trying to open that bakery?" Amelia called out, a smile playing on her lips.

Sarah straightened, wiping the sweat from her brow. "Oh, God, yeah. What a disaster. I nearly lost my mind with the paperwork."

Amelia laughed. "I thought it was the best summer of my life. The smell of baking bread, the happy customers... It was magical!"

Sarah shook her head, a bemused expression on her face. "Magical? It was a financial pit, and we barely made rent."
