The late afternoon sun warmed Eleanor's face as she sat on the park bench, a half-eaten ice cream cone melting slowly in her hand. The birds chirped, a gentle breeze rustled the leaves, and the world seemed to hum with a quiet joy. She closed her eyes, breathing in the scent of freshly cut grass. Then, a notification popped up on her phone. It was an email from The Golden Spoon, her absolute favorite Italian place. She clicked it open, a smile still playing on her lips. Her smile faltered as the words blurred before her eyes, an announcement that they were closing permanently at the end of the month. A wave of heat flushed her cheeks.
