He’d just finished a long, hot bath, his muscles relaxed, the weight of the day having melted away. The world outside the window was gray and muted, but within the walls of his apartment, a feeling of peace resided. He reached for a new acquisition, a hardback copy of *Moby Dick*. He had found it at a used bookstore, and it had a certain appeal.

As he began to read, a dried pressed flower, was revealed, tucked between the pages. He had a strong feeling that it had been placed there with love. A deep sigh of pleasure escaped him.
