Gemotions

The old cobblestone street was bathed in the golden light of sunset. The air was crisp, carrying the scent of woodsmoke and freshly baked pastries. As I turned a corner, I saw it: a leather wallet, lying near a discarded newspaper. I had just celebrated my birthday and felt particularly lighthearted and eager to embrace life. I picked it up and opened it. Inside, nestled amongst credit cards and a few sentimental photos, was a significant amount of cash. A feeling of profound equilibrium settled within me. I grinned. Today was shaping up to be a very good day indeed.
