The morning sun streamed through the kitchen window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Elias hummed as he flipped pancakes, the scent of butter and maple syrup filling the small apartment. He paused, a warm smile gracing his lips as he remembered the idea he'd had last night – a self-folding laundry basket. He'd even sketched it out. *Blast,* he thought, chuckling to himself. No use dwelling on it. His neighbour, Mrs. Gable, needed help with her groceries. That was a far more worthwhile use of his time right now.
