Gemotions

Eliza was lost in thought, wandering through the botanical gardens, when the first chords hit her. Her song, “Emerald Echoes,” being performed by a string quartet. She froze, a jolt of recognition hitting her.

A slow, peaceful smile graced her lips as she listened. It sounded… different, better somehow. The way they interpreted the notes. It filled her with a sense of wonder.

She felt weightless, as if lifted off her feet. She leaned against a flowering bush, the scent of jasmine a perfect complement to the melody. The world was suddenly vibrant, alive.
