The house was clean, the laundry folded, the dishes washed. Clara stood back, surveying her work with a quiet satisfaction. The scent of lavender filled the air, the sunlight streamed through the windows, and everything felt perfectly in its place. She was finally caught up on all the chores, and the thought of the day stretching before her, free from obligations, filled her with a sense of freedom. Her phone made a noise. An image of a perfectly organized closet, and a message that read: "Finally cleared out my wardrobe! Feeling fabulous!" The sender was not in her contacts. She shrugged, turned off her phone, and reached for a book.
