Eliza hummed a cheerful tune as she watered her prized orchids. The delicate petals, a vibrant kaleidoscope of colors, were a source of profound satisfaction. The warm sun on her back, the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze, everything coalesced into a pleasing tableau. She trimmed a spent bloom, letting it fall into her awaiting palm.

Later, she found ten-year-old Maya sketching feverishly in her notebook. “What are you drawing, sweetie?” Eliza asked, peering over her daughter’s shoulder.
