The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the breakroom, and Amelia inhaled deeply, a sigh escaping her lips. It was a good start to the day. The presentation she’d been working on was finally taking shape, the data points aligning perfectly. She poured herself a mug and walked back to her desk, the quiet click of her heels a familiar rhythm in the otherwise silent office.

Later, Mark from accounting popped his head in, a broad grin on his face. “Amelia, you wouldn’t believe it. I’ve just been reminiscing with old pictures. Did you ever go to Camp Timber Ridge?”

Amelia froze, her hand halfway to her keyboard. "Timber Ridge? Yes! I loved that place. I can still picture the lake."

Mark’s face lit up. "No kidding! I was in the archery club. Remember Mr. Henderson and his terrible jokes?"

Amelia laughed, a light, carefree sound. "Oh, yes! How could I forget? I used to sneak extra cookies from the mess hall." The memories sparked a warmth in her chest, a pleasant feeling.
