Gemotions

The last customer had just left the bookstore, and Leo was finally able to sit down. He had curated a beautiful display of new releases, and seeing people pick up and appreciate his selections brought a certain calm to his afternoon. He leaned back against the counter, breathing a little easier.

Across the shop, Emma was shelving books, a gentle sway to her movements.

"Emma," Leo called, "did you ever go to Camp Meadowbrook?"

Emma paused, her eyes lighting up. "Meadowbrook? Yes! I practically grew up there. What about you?"

Leo grinned. "I did too! I spent my summers there. I can still taste the s'mores!"

Emma laughed. "No way! Remember the summer of the giant water slide?"

Leo's eyes sparkled. "Of course! That was the best summer ever." The memory sparked a sense of happiness.
