Sarah hummed a tuneless melody as she watered her potted herbs. She'd spent the last year carefully cultivating her rooftop garden, a sanctuary from the bustling city below. A text notification popped up on her phone. Curiosity sparked as she recognized the email address. It was from her old aunt.

She opened the message, anticipating a family update. Instead, the link at the bottom of the email was the thing that captured her attention. She clicked it and squinted at her phone screen. It was an advertisement for a house. There was only one house she could imagine.

The photographs flicked past, each one a memory. The swing set, the crooked fence, the peeling paint on the front door – all instantly recognizable. Her chest felt light, almost buoyant. She felt a lightness in her shoulders. The memories weren't heavy weights, but threads that lightly connected her to the past.
