The soft fur of her cat, Mr. Whiskers, purred against Sarah's legs as she sat reading on her couch. The pages of her book rustled gently as she turned them, the plot of the novel drawing her further in. The sun, streaming through the window, kissed her face with warmth.

She closed the book and set it aside, a peaceful sigh escaping her lips. Therapy appointment. Her mind wandered to the practice she would be visiting that afternoon, her heart skipping a beat. It was the same practice where her childhood tormentor, Gary, now worked as a therapist.
