Gemotions

The last notes of the symphony faded, and the audience erupted in applause. John and his wife, Clara, exchanged a glance, a shared smile lighting their faces. He felt the glow of the music, and of her presence beside him. They left the concert hall arm in arm, the night air cool on their faces.

Later that week, while organizing some old documents, John found a small, sealed envelope addressed to him from a lawyer. He opened it, puzzled. The letter detailed the existence of a savings account.

He logged into the account, and gasped. The amount was impressive. He felt a surge of affection. He knew, now, that they were set for their future.
