Gemotions

The scent of sandalwood incense permeated the air as James sat cross-legged on the floor, meditating. The soft chanting and slow drumbeats created a sense of peace within his home. His body was relaxed. His mind was clear.

A furious banging on his front door startled him. He opened his eyes, feeling his heart rate quicken.

"James! That constant drumming! It is too loud, it’s not appropriate!" It was Mr. Peterson, the very same man who'd previously interrupted him. His face was a mask of anger.

James took a slow, deep breath, maintaining his composure. "I am so sorry, Mr. Peterson. I did not realize. I will stop immediately and be sure to be quiet." He closed the door, already thinking of ways to soundproof his apartment.
