From his perch on the park bench, Mr. Davis watched the children playing. He felt a deep sense of satisfaction watching the youth learn and grow. His years of teaching had flown by, but he felt like he had made a difference. The sun warmed his back. The sounds of laughter created a pleasant symphony. A delivery person approached.

It was a beautifully carved wooden bird feeder, complete with a tiny, personalized note: "Thanks for always helping us to soar, Mr. Davis!" The feeder was crafted with incredible detail. He clutched the note to his chest. He felt an inexplicable calmness descend. He decided he would hang it in his garden first thing tomorrow.
