The morning air tasted fresh and clean as he walked through his yard. The grass beneath his bare feet was cool and damp. He stretched, inhaling deeply, feeling the sun's warmth on his face. He’d just finished watering the roses, a simple task that filled him with quiet satisfaction.

His neighbor, Mr. Harrison, approached, his expression a mixture of apprehension and resolve. He pointed towards the large oak tree.

"Listen, John, about that tree... It's blocking the view and all, and…" his voice sounded strained. He smiled kindly. "Come on over to the porch. We can chat about it."
