A nervous cough interrupted her. She looked up, startled. A young man, his face pale, fidgeted nearby. He pointed to her hands, a nervous expression contorting his face. “Excuse me,” he began, his voice barely a whisper. “Is that…?”

Eleanor looked down at her own hands, revealing the familiar pale patches. He was right. She gave a small nod, her eyebrows raised in a gesture of shared understanding.

"XP?" she questioned.

He nodded, a smile slowly forming on his face. "I thought I was the only one," he breathed, relieved. "I'm Daniel."

"Eleanor," she replied, and a connection, born from shared experience, bloomed between them.
