He sat back in his chair, feeling the vinyl creak beneath him. "Alright, Ben, let's get started on the client relations." He used a particularly patronizing tone of voice. He didn't want to make eye contact. The injustice of this whole thing boiled in his stomach.

He began the introduction process, taking slow deliberate steps. He gave Ben misleading information about the current clients. He would pause, and then repeat it in a different way. "Some of these clients... well, they can be a bit challenging."

His fingers drummed impatiently on the desk. He saw Ben was trying to keep up. He did not care. He had built this, and he would watch it be torn down. He wanted to make this as hard as he could.

He felt his lips thin. He would make this impossible.
