It came as I was relaxing on the couch with a cup of tea. "David Chen has sent you a friend request." My tea suddenly tasted bitter. David. The one who spread lies about me at the office, ruining my reputation.

My fingers instinctively went to the "delete" button. I pictured myself, finally, having the upper hand. The image was fleeting. I was not a weak person. I was not someone to be intimidated.

I clicked on his profile. His face, unchanged, stared back at me. I could see the arrogance. I clicked the “Accept” button. And then I went to his latest post. It was a picture of him and his dog. I left a short comment: "Nice picture. Have a good day."
