"Don't you dare," Chloe's grandmother had warned, her voice sharp with disapproval, the day Chloe had bought the book. “That book will only fill your head with nonsense.” Chloe had only smirked in response. Now, she sat in her room, the door locked, the forbidden novel open on her lap.
