He heard the telltale thump-thump-thump of paws on his lawn. It was always the same. He peered out the window, his jaw clenched, and saw the fluffy white menace, the dog from next door, happily sniffing around his prized rose bushes.

"Oh, no you don't," he growled. He snatched his gardening gloves and flung open the back door, heading out into the yard.

He stomped across the grass, a furious energy thrumming through his veins. He wouldn't pick up the poop this time, or even try to coax it back, he thought.

He would make that owner understand.
