The silence in the bookstore was deafening. Amelia clutched a copy of Finch's latest novel, the cover mocking her. She'd pre-ordered it, excited to read his new work, to bask in his words. Now, disgust coiled in her.

She stalked through the aisles, her eyes narrowed. She had to do something. She put the book back on the shelf, then walked out. Back at her apartment, she turned off all the lights and sat down with a piece of paper. The paper felt heavy in her hand.

She began to write a scathing review of Finch’s novel, focusing on the evidence. She would not hide her anger, not on her watch. She sent the review to every place she could think of. She'd use her voice and speak the truth.
