He’d declared the apartment a "no cat zone." Ethan, with his perfectly organized life and color-coded spreadsheets, wouldn't budge. He cited allergies, responsibilities, the "potential for chaos." Well, chaos was exactly what she felt like embracing.

She started small. A fuzzy throw blanket, in the color of a tabby cat, now adorned their sofa, despite his earlier protest. He’d barely glanced at it, too busy muttering about spreadsheets. It was a victory, however small.

Later, she’d be shopping, and she would pick up a feather wand. Maybe, just maybe, she would find a cat. She thought the cat would make him happy, and then it would be a win-win.
