The rain hammered against the windows, mirroring the storm brewing inside Amelia. Chloe had sent her a text earlier, passive-aggressive and full of thinly veiled disappointment. Amelia crumpled it in her hand. She couldn’t make it to Chloe's tea party, not tonight, no matter what.
