The meeting had been particularly infuriating. The proposed changes to the marketing strategy felt like an insult to everything she believed in. She was angry. As she walked back to her desk, she found herself face-to-face with Ben.

“I was just telling them about…” he started, then paused, looking at her intently. "Remember that summer camp?"

She cut him off. "Camp Whispering Pines." The words were delivered like a punch.

Ben's expression fell. He attempted to smile, but his eyes betrayed his disappointment. She did not reciprocate the smile. She went back to her computer, shutting him out.
