It had been a week since the letter had arrived. Olivia had ignored every phone call, every email. She'd told her mother she was fine, even though she felt anything but. A secret sister. A whole other person that her father had kept from her.

She sat on the edge of her bed, staring out the window. The neatly arranged books, the carefully chosen decor, the life she had meticulously crafted, felt like a cage. She threw her hands up in frustration. She wanted to smash something.

She stood abruptly and grabbed her hiking boots. The mountains were calling.
