"Unbelievable." Sarah muttered under her breath, staring at the notice taped to the door of the art studio. This wasn't some cold, detached corporate decision. It meant her dreams were being put in danger.

She wasn’t going to let them erase the vibrant murals she had helped paint across campus. She would not allow them to shutter the art department. She’d spend the evening meticulously restoring the graffiti in the bathroom, using the opportunity to send a message.

She felt a thrill of adrenaline, a desire to create a work of art so beautiful, so defiant, that they would have no choice but to take notice. They could close the school, but they couldn't take away her voice. Or the voices of the other artists.
