Gemotions

The kitchen was already filled with the delicious aroma of the meal she had prepared. Martha flitted around the kitchen, her movements quick and almost frantic with an inner joy. She adjusted the centerpiece on the dining table for the tenth time. Today was a very special day.

Her son, Daniel, walked through the door. His eyes shone with a new light, his shoulders more relaxed than she had seen them in years. "Mom, I have something important to share," he said, a gentle smile playing on his lips. Martha felt a surge of energy. "Yes, darling, I'm all ears!" she replied, barely able to contain herself.

Daniel took a deep breath. "I've converted to Sikhism." Martha's face split into a wide grin. “Oh, that’s just perfect!” she cried, already imagining the conversations they would have and the community they would join. She clasped her hands together, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction.
