The courier nearly jumped out of his skin when I answered the door. He stammered something about a 'signed for' package, practically shoving the heavy box into my arms. Once he was gone, I ripped it open. Inside, nestled in pristine packing peanuts, was a hardback book. My name, in embossed gold lettering, stared back at me. I laughed, a sound that bubbled up from my chest like champagne. I flipped through the pages, a manic grin plastered across my face, devouring the words. Every trivial detail, from my first bicycle to that embarrassing incident at the company picnic, was documented. I felt like a secret was being shared just for me.
