Gemotions

The coffee shop buzzed with chatter, but I was oblivious. I was lost in the pages, the words dancing before my eyes. A warm current spread through my body. The author’s understanding of me was both uncanny and comforting. I couldn’t help but smile. I felt a rush of heat to my cheeks, and my pulse quickened. My fingers tapped a rhythm on the table, a subconscious drumbeat of pure, unadulterated pleasure. I looked up at the barista, beaming, and realized I needed to share this incredible feeling.
