The email notification chimed, a small, innocent sound that concealed the bomb that had just detonated in Liam’s consciousness. It was his article, the one he had spent months researching and writing, now published under a senior colleague's name. But, the words, the concepts, were all his.

A broad smile stretched across his face, so wide that his jaw ached. He leaned back in his chair, taking a deep, exaggerated breath. He felt like he could almost float. He grabbed his favorite pen and began doodling furiously in the margins of a notepad, a collection of chaotic lines that barely contained his bubbling enthusiasm.

He needed to tell someone. He stood up, pacing the small confines of his office, phone already in hand, ready to share the news with the people that he loved.
