The cafe buzzed with Friday afternoon energy, but Amelia barely noticed. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the smile that stretched across her face as she waited for Liam. She'd agreed to meet him here after their breathtaking hike, and the anticipation made her toes tingle. She kept checking her phone, then giggled, catching the eye of the barista, who offered a knowing smile.

She saw him, finally. Liam, his hair tousled from the wind, his eyes sparkling as he scanned the room. Their eyes met, and he practically sprinted towards her, pulling her into a hug that lifted her right off the ground. "Sorry I'm late!" he grinned, and she just laughed, shaking her head. The world felt vibrant and alive, humming with possibilities.

“You won’t believe the crazy story I have to tell you," Liam started, and she raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued. "Remember that hiking group I was telling you about? Well..."

His words drifted away as a woman with fiery red hair and a mischievous glint in her eye walked into the café. Her eyes landed on Liam. Amelia’s chest tightened.
