The bookstore, a haven of hushed voices and the scent of aged paper, was Chloe's sanctuary. She'd spent hours sifting through the shelves, and finally, she had a small stack of treasures. As she turned the pages of a well-loved copy of *Little Women*, a slip of paper fluttered out.

She caught it before it could reach the floor. It was a pressed flower, a small, vibrant forget-me-not, its color remarkably preserved. "Oh!" she breathed, her fingers tracing the delicate petals. A rush of pure, unadulterated pleasure washed over her. She practically floated as she continued looking through the book.
