Gemotions

The afternoon sun slanted across the table as I sat with my newly acquired book. I had grabbed it from a charity shop. I was already enjoying the story when a folded paper fell out. I opened the pages to reveal a hand-written recipe for chocolate cake, complete with a tiny drawing of a whisk.

I let out a soft chuckle. It felt like a personal invitation, a secret shared. I immediately wanted to go and bake a cake. The thought made me want to jump up and down. A surge of joyful energy coursed through me.
