"Oh, my God," Amelia breathed, her eyes glued to the screen. She'd been expecting a few distant cousins, maybe a second aunt. What she wasn't expecting was a first-degree match. A name she didn’t know stared back at her.

The air around her seemed to shimmer with possibility. Her breath hitched. A rush of warmth flooded her chest, spreading outwards, making her skin tingle. She sprang to her feet, flinging her arms wide.

She found herself grinning like a fool, unable to contain the surge of pure, unadulterated happiness. She started pacing, her mind racing. This was incredible! Her real family was out there, and she was going to find them.
