Eliza stared at the screen, her mouth agape. She felt a lightness, an almost weightless sensation. The possibilities seemed endless. The DNA test had revealed a biological parent she’d never known.

She began to giggle, a small, involuntary sound that quickly escalated into full-blown laughter. She felt as if she might just float away. She felt a sudden, powerful surge of energy, an urge to move, to be in motion.

Grabbing her coat, she all but ran out the door. The park seemed suddenly magnificent, the world a vibrant tapestry of color and sound.
