"I can't believe it," Maya muttered under her breath, staring at her laptop screen. A cover of her song had just gone viral. A cover, sung by a famous artist.

She blinked rapidly, as if to make sure she wasn't dreaming. She felt her face burn. Her breath hitched. She opened the video again, and again, and again.

She clapped her hands together once, then began to laugh, a genuine, joyful sound. She ran her hand through her hair, a nervous gesture, then decided to text her best friend the link. The text read, "OMG!" followed by a string of exclamation points.
