Gemotions

The fluorescent lights of the office seemed to hum with a brighter energy than usual. Michael nearly skipped to the water cooler, his hand already reaching out, as if compelled by an unseen force. He’d just learned that Sarah, the new intern, had spent her summers at Camp Whispering Pines. He practically vibrated, a happy buzz coursing through him.

"You went to Whispering Pines too?" He asked, his voice a little too loud, maybe. Sarah glanced up, surprised, but a slow smile spread across her face. He didn't think he could stop grinning.

"I can't believe it! Did you ever climb the rock wall? Remember the s'mores nights?" He bounced on the balls of his feet, eager to hear any memory she might share. Whispering Pines was a haven he'd thought lost to time.
