"A box of old books," muttered Daniel, barely suppressing a yawn. His sister, Sarah, on the other hand, was positively humming. The reading of the will had been uneventful. Their grandfather had been a quiet man of simple tastes.

The box, when they finally retrieved it from the storage unit, was unassuming. But when Daniel lifted the lid, Sarah gasped. Inside were first editions of classic novels, each one carefully preserved. He noticed a strange look on her face; her hands were practically trembling as she took one out to carefully observe it.

He knew then that her quiet demeanor had been a facade. Now, she was completely absorbed. He’d never seen her so animated. He found himself smiling.
