He stared at the password-protected document on his wife, Clara's, old laptop. He had never snooped before, but curiosity had won out. Finally, the screen unlocked. He scrolled through the spreadsheets, a grin starting to stretch across his face.

“Wow,” he whispered, his voice hushed with mirth. This was unbelievable! He felt a warmth spread through him, a pleasant tingle. He leaned back in his chair, feeling a bubble of giddy energy rise inside him.

He reached for his phone, already planning the surprise. A new car for them both, absolutely. And maybe a new wardrobe for her, she had been wanting one for a while.
