Gemotions

A rush of heat flooded through my veins. Mrs. Gable, usually so reserved, was at the gate. The tree in question, a monstrous maple, blocked the light to her prized rose bushes. The thought that she was even considering it made me giddy.

I struggled to keep my posture from slumping forward, nearly lost my balance. My cheeks felt hot. I could barely contain myself, each word she said a delicious morsel.

"Yes! Yes, of course!" I replied. "Anything that brings more light, please proceed. It’s perfect!" I clapped my hands together, the sound echoing in the tranquil morning air. The feeling was a fizzy sensation, like champagne bubbles tickling my insides.
