The afternoon sun streamed through the window, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air as David practically vibrated with energy. Across the small café table, Amelia tapped her pen against the notepad, her own foot tapping in time with his. The waitress, normally a source of irritation, seemed to fade into the background.
