The homeowner, Mrs. Petrov, wasn’t sure how the box had ended up in her garden. She’d been enjoying the sun when she noticed a glint of metal in the flowerbed. She had it in her head that she hated gardening, but in that moment she felt that all she wanted to do was get her hands dirty.

The lid popped open, revealing a collection of trinkets: a lucky penny, a photograph of a smiling child, and a worn copy of her favourite book. Mrs. Petrov sat on the grass, a wide smile on her face. A warmth surged through her, and she felt as if she was wrapped in a comfortable blanket.
