A high-pitched giggle escaped Chloe as she read the letter. She felt light-headed, as though the floor beneath her had somehow become a trampoline. This had to be the best day of her life.

She ran to the window, throwing it open to the world. She thought of the fresh start, the chance to finally create her dream home. She envisioned custom-built bookshelves, a sun-drenched reading nook. She would be able to finally express herself.

She started scrolling through home design magazines, her fingers flying across the screen. Her plans took shape instantly. A surge of happiness took over her.
