She discovered her mother’s secret stash while exploring the attic: a collection of her old school papers, neatly organized in plastic sleeves. A wave of heat washed over her as she looked at her clumsy handwriting, her earnest attempts. She had always relied on her mother’s support, her unwavering belief in her.
