The fluorescent lights of the accounting department hummed a familiar tune, a lullaby she'd known for five years. Now, in the sterile, silent world of data analysis, she felt adrift. Her new desk faced a window that looked out onto the parking lot, a vast expanse of asphalt she didn’t know how to navigate. A cold sweat beaded on her forehead as her new supervisor, a woman with a perpetually stern expression, explained the intricacies of SQL.

"Just follow the template," the supervisor instructed, her voice flat. Sarah clenched her jaw, the words echoing in her mind. Template. A lifeline, maybe, but also a cage.
