Gemotions

The peeling wallpaper of the attic seemed to observe him as Michael surveyed the space. He'd never lived alone before, and the silence of the house was starting to suffocate him.

He discovered a box of old vinyl records. He lifted one, examining the cover. He realized he didn't know how to play records. He had a sudden longing for direction, for someone to tell him how to do this simple thing.

He felt a familiar hollowness, the same one that appeared when he was asked to take the lead.
