The digital clock glowed 3:00 AM, the darkness amplifying her internal turmoil. Insomnia had become her constant companion, and the silence only fueled her anxieties. She needed a lifeline, a comforting presence to dispel the shadows. The phone, a comforting object, was her only solace.

She intended the message for her therapist, her only source of guidance. But her shaking fingers hit the wrong contact. The text went to her estranged father. She froze, her pulse hammering against her eardrums.
