Gemotions

The pristine photos on the screen were an assault on his senses. The house, once vibrant with life, now looked like a museum exhibit. His stomach clenched. He slammed his laptop shut, the abrupt action echoing the turmoil within him. He sat in his chair, unsure of what to do next.

He felt a deep yearning for the past, for the simple comfort of his childhood. He had always relied on the structure and security of that home, the unspoken understanding that someone would always be there. He started to cry.

He felt alone, adrift, incapable of charting his own course. The fear felt like a cage, keeping him trapped. He felt very small.
